InvestmentUnit TrustsA unit trust is a collective investment scheme where a group of investors 'pool' their money into a fund which is then invested in a wide range of stocks and shares or fixed interest securities. Unit trusts provide a level of diversification as the investors' money isn't dependent on the performance of just one or two companies but spread across a whole range of companies with a single investment. The fund is actively managed by a fund manager who uses their experience and talent to research and select companies with the aim of achieving maximum returns based on the investment objectives and policy of the fund. |
